From Artesia to Alamogordo, NM

We are in a 40' Class A with a tow. We would like to take 82 but are concerned with the roads for our rig. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Equinox Sport or Just Equinox?

FMCA lists only the Equinox Sport not just the Equinox. Is there a difference? Can you tow the "plain" Equinox four-down?

Pilot Towable

I've done the search and still can't come up with a definitive answer as to the feasibility of towing an 09 Pilot with four down just like my CRV. Remco says it's OK as they have not heard of any problems with the transmission so they don't provide a disconnect system. I would like to know what the owners of Pilots are doing with their car.

RE: Hot water issue

I had the same issue and it was the check valve problem. The valve is generally on the backside of the water heater. It can or cannot be a problem getting to the valve to change. When I found the problem I replaced both valves even though only one was bad. It was cheap insurance and piece of mind that I don't have to replace later.

12 V ceiling fan blade

I, through stupidity, broke a fan blade. The fan is apparently made by Trusty Products and a part number C14-0012 770. I attempted to access their web site to no avail. The blade is approxiamtely 13 3/4" long with 3 holes for mounting. Anyone have any ideas where I might locate a blade for how to contact Trusty?

Seneca 35 Foot

We are going to downsize from our 40' Class A. We've been looking at a 35' Jayco Seneca Diesel that is loaded. Need some comments concerning this product as we know little about them. I know the question is open ended but give me all you can.
Thanks

RE: Spell Check problem

I posted the same concern to the Tech on this site twice explaining the exact same thing and never got a response from the site.

Adjusting Norcold Fridge

I have a Norcold 120X-IMXX unit. It is a 4-door unti. The freezer temp is approx -10. Since defrosting the temp in the refridge part does not run as cool as before. The weather has been warm but normally we run the temp at 7 (scale 1-9). Now we must run at 9 just to keep the temp at 40 or so.
Is there any adjustment that can be made to deliver more cooling to the fridge?
Thanks

Yakima to Olympia, WA

I have a 40' Class A with a tow. The route most direct is Highway 12 from Yakima to I-5 and then to Olympia. My other option is to traverse I-82 and then drop south on I-5. Is this road OK for my rig and tow? If this is "ify" then I'll go the other way.
Second, any recommendations for rv parks along the Highway 12 route should be choose to go that way?
As always, this site has come up with good, accurate posts. Thanks in advance.

Itasca Compass Problem

My dashboard compass/temperature readout is stuck on "W". My manual gives directions as to calabrating. However, that entails a large parking lot where you can drive in a circle. Does anyone have any other suggestions as how to re-set?
Thanks

Door Weather Pro

My awning over the door has begun to hang up with the rear (away from front of coach) and I reach up and pull it loose. This apparently has caused the material to slack quite a bit when the awning is exteneded fully. One, I can't find any info on the web concerning a way to fix or contact anyone and second, is there a way to tighten the canvas?
Thanks

Class A to Class C

As you can see we currently are driving a 40' Class A. We are looking seriously at moving to a 30 plus/minus Class C as we are only going to be on the road for 6 months of the year and our "full timing" is reduced to the 6 warm months of the year. I need opinions as to what would be best for us within the range of $100K. Fully equipped gas or diesel and able to pull 4500 tow car. We not looking for a weekender unit, we will be living in it for 6 months at a time. Thanks for any help.
