RE: SHUT OFF ON AIR LINE TO BRAKEMASTER???

My Brakemaster has a quick connect at the MH for the air hook up.
Also one on the Toad. A wire hooks from the MH to the Toad that will trigger the brakes on the Toad in case of a break away.
May be possible for the quick connects to pull apart and have no air leak.
You should have no problem with your compressor to keep up with any air loss from the small hose that is used, before being able to make a safe stop in the MH.
If hose would happen to break. A small bolt inserted with a clamp used, should take care of it.

RE: lcd tv traveling on the bed

TV Grips hold my 32" LCD upright and ready to use. Everything keeps plugged in. VCR, DVD, off air cable, DTV HDMI cable etc.
20" LCD in front a couple screws hold it down with no problem.
19" LCD in bedroom is held by wall mount. Rides there.
26" LCD in outside compartment rides there with TV Grips holding it in place.
19" LCD PC monitor rides standing up on kitchen table. Nothing holds it there, other then the power cable and cable to PC.
Nothing to unhook, move, move back and re-hook up.

RE: Broken storage bay handle on 99 discovery

On a lot of the compartments you can get to the back side of the broken one from the compartment next to it.
If you can do that. Take the 4 screws out of the black backing plate in the center. Then you should be able to release the latches.
Good information on your D can be found at Discovery owners

RE: 1999 Tracker 2WD

While you are looking for a 4X4. If you find a 98 make sure it has manual hubs.
If auto hubs you have to change out to manual for that year to.
On edit changed 99 to 98

RE: Part of AC Shroud Gone! Blown Off in Storm!

Fan & motor not the only concern, evaporater coil right in front. A rock or other debris hits it---good-bye A/C!
:h My evaporator coils face the rear of the MH. For a rock or any debris to jump up over 12' plus and hit one. Would likely have to come from someone throwing it up there.

RE: slides breakdown

Maybe you shouldn't buy a MH because on these forums, some have had, flat tires, A/C breaking, water heaters breaking, furnaces breaking, refrigerators breaking, engines breaking, transmissions breaking, Inverters breaking, microwaves breaking, etc.
So far I think they have all been able to be repaired, fixed or replaced.
My 11 year old slide hasn't broken yet. But one A/C motor has.
I had 2 MH without slides now one with. Love my one slide and have no need for 2-3 or 4 slides.

Since when has DirecTV and Dish started requiring you to sign a two-yr. contract?
We've had Direct since 1999, but I don't recall having to sign a contract then. Are they trying to go the way of the cellphone companies? I think it's ridiculous and people ought to start refusing to sign a contract just to get their service. I had a AT&T person tell me recently that it's just a matter of time before that practice will be stopped. I believe the cellphone companies do it because they know their service sucks, so they won't to get you for 2 yrs!
DirecTV has always had a 1 year contract for SD broadcast since they started in the 90's.
You may not recall having one, but you did. :B
I had one in 1995 for one year and now I am on a two year one with my HD receiver.
They started the 2 year contracts with the HD receivers or maybe the DVR receivers. The SD receivers are still one year yet today.

RE: Thinking of changing out TV to 32 inch LCD.

Also I have a std receiver so if i upgrade to a HD receiver will I be able to get HD channels with the KLH R4 sat dome?
May be possible with a Dish Network HD receiver. Check KLH web site for your dome information.
Not possible with a DirecTV HD receiver. Dome will not get the 99/102.8 satellites.

RE: Single axle brakes on tandem car hauler

I am surprised that the MH is rated to pull over 5,000 lb. or even has a 10,000 lb. hitch on it.
With trailer don't forget they will be added weight on MH rear axle.
4 down no additional weight on MH rear axle and less lbs. to pull.

RE: HELP WITH FUEL FLOW ISSUE.......

In my years of servicing, it is very common to find a clogged pick-up tube in the fuel tank.
The tubes usually have a mesh screen or "sock" over the end and gunk and debrise inside the tank are sucked up and into this sock and this blocks the fuel flow.
With the generator fuel pick up being 1/4 of the way off the bottom of the tank.
If it gets plugged that high off the bottom then you have a real problem. You should clean the tank out good before using any of that fuel for the engine that has its pick up closer to the bottom.
