RE: Black Tank Odors - ODORLOS treatment

lol...
It's a holding tank not a perfume bottle.
You might be able to cover the stench but you will NEVER make it smell like springtime in the meadow.

RE: web site problems

The forum software is antiquated and will never perform as well as updated and modern forums....
There are numerous ad streams running in the background and a software accelerator that is desperately trying to speed things up.
I just checked and found that the "post a reply" page is eating 50,442K of memory. If you are not running enough memory you WILL have problems with this site.

RE: Another dealer restructures

No big surprise. JC's had terrible pricing and equally bad sales people. They did have some impressive shows though ....

RE: Is Fulltiming w/ WHITE leather upholstery a bad idea?

Furniture however, is made for humans not animals, so keep your critters off the furniture and you'll be fine,
Bull. Furniture is made to be used. Many of us include our dogs and cats as part of our family, so they get to use the furniture as much as we let our 2-legged kids use the furniture.
I get the biggest kick out of people that pretend animals are family .....
Must be a "city folk" thing.:h

RE: Black water tank----Same Old Same problem

Just so you know, a black tank will never smell like a spring day after a rain shower.
It is going to smell like poop.
It is a good idea not to stand there with the toilet valve open while analyzing the issue.

RE: Postrace incidents - NASCAR

People actually still watch nascar? Most of us gave it up when the brats showed up with their donuts and back flips and other child like behavior.
Adult drivers race NHRA.

RE: A few questions

Spartan is the top of the line.. Nothing better. I own an American Coach and have owned several other brands in the past. Once you own a Spartan you will not go back ! They are just bult strong and safe. My American coach has independant front wheel suspension. This adds about $7000. Most other coaches do not offer this.
Spartan services their chassis in Charlotte MI.. or go to any Cummins Service Center.
Good Luck..
Uhhh ..... that would be "once you own a Roadmaster you will not go back".
Spartan is ok but definitely not top shelf.

RE: FMCA membership

FMCA is run by failed third world dictators. It is not an organization for independent thinkers.

RE: Aftermarket shock absorber test

Just received my May 09 issue of MotorHome magazine and there is a article on aftermarket shocks. I was very surprised by their ratings of the 4 brands of shocks they tested. Of course every motor home is different and I feel that maybe the results would be different. On their test, for those of you that don't receive this magazine, they are rated in this order(1)Bilstein
(2)RoadKing, (3)Koni, (4)Sachs. This contradicts what I've been reading on this and other forums, generally the Koni is preferred by most. I'm still using my original Monroe's on my 2003 Allegro Bay gasser but will be replacing them this year. Kinda makes me wonder which ones to go with.
Curt
2003 Allegro Bay 34' /Workhorse/GM 8.1/Allison
The best shocks, much like the best RV are what the particular person owns.
Go with the ratings not what people here say

RE: Air Compressor Questions

Unless you are ABSOLUTELY positive that the off the bead tire has not been driven in that condition I would dispose of it and buy a new one. If it is off the bead it probably has been driven on and is damaged to the point that it may come unglued on inflation.

RE: TPMS Sensors and Plumbers Tape

I put my new extended thread SAF-TEE sensors on today, and they have a considerable length of thread on them compared to the older short thread sensors that first came out with the system.
In thinking about it though, I almost put some plumbers thread tape on my valve stems, to ensure a tight fit, but thought that by doing that, I might be doing damage to the sensors as the threaded area is aluminum.
Just curious if anyone has used plumbers tape on sensors.
Thoughts?
This is plumbers tape, I assume you mean Teflon tape?
