My husband and I bought a 2005 Forest River MB Cruiser/Diesel (used 5000 miles) 2 years ago. It is perfect for 2 people and we love it.
But we have a problem getting repairs and or parts for our motorhome. Most people have never heard of an MB Cruiser, and we have never seen another one on the road.

Any other MB Cruiser owners out there? Please, let us know about your experience with your (Sprinter) MB Cruiser.

Thanks, north of Houston, TX

O.K., There are two of us in the WORLD! Seriously, FR only built a limited number of the units and therefore it just seems lonely. I purchased mine new in 2004 on a 2003 chassis.. The Sprinter van can be serviced by any Dodge dealer that is authorized and / or Freightliner dealers. All components used in the MB Cruiser are generic RV industry items and can usually be serviced by any reputable RV service dealer. I’ve had no problems with service or warranty work done by Forest River and Dodge / Freightliner dealers and also component repair by RV dealers. The compressor motor in the roof-top A/C unit was defective and repaired by an authorized Duo-Therm (Dometic) service center as was the tank sending units. Forest River quality control and fit / finish are not the best. I must say that Forest River did not quibble about necessary warranty work. FR actually picked the unit up in Delaware by flat bed truck, took it to the factory, made a large number of repairs and then returned it by flat bed truck. FR made the pick-up and return service twice! Everything was corrected and they actually repaired / serviced several things that I had not requested. I give a thumbs-up to the new owner, Warren Buffet. If you have any specific questions or concerns then feel free to send an email.

Gee whiz, you folks with 2005 models make me wish that I waited. My '04 has a 12 volt frig., microwave oven (no convection) and one very small lp tank (4.8 gal.). Due to the 12 volt only frig. and my entertainment toys I have three AGM Group 31 battreies. Oh, did I mention that I also have no flat screen TV? The TV cabinet is now a linen closet as we use the Laptop in lieu of a TV.

Question on the FR MB Cruiser. Does it have a 2 way fridge, 12DC & 120AC? How many chassis batteries does it have?

We also have a 2005 MB Cruiser and haven't had a problem getting things repaired. For warranty work on the coach we simply took it to a Forest River dealer handling FR trailers and other MH and were quite pleased with the service. The chassis problems were handled by the local Dodge dealer.

We have a 2005 Cruiser on a 2004 chassis also. We have had a few things taken care of at Nashville Dodge, 90 miles north. I have replaced the skylight that started leaking. We do not have a convection oven or the second propane tank.

Even though ours is called a 2005, the model 222 only shows up in NADA as a 2006. We fouund out about the new model from the Marketing Director at FR in March 2005, and ordered it through a dealer. We got one of the first 222's. The reason we went with the 222 was not only the things mentioned above but also they used the "awning type windows" instead of the sliders on some of the earlier versions and yes it has the drop down flatscreen TV/DVD. We have 34000 miles on it and it has been a great unit for us. Its tank sizes are good for boondocking. Unfortunately it only has 3 seats with belts and we are now looking into other models that will haul more(not necessarily sleep more).

I have a 2003 M-B Cruiser. My refrig is 12V only and I only have one house battery.

Used Nashville Dodge when the EGR valve went out and had very good service and the entire bill was covered under warranty. I get my oil filters from the closest Dodge dealer. Haven't had a need for anything else.

No regrets with my purchase - - just drove Ms"B"Haven 3500 miles by myself (and Annie the Chihuahua). I love it!

Our 2005 MB cruiser only has 3 seat belts. We would like to add 2 or 3 additional seat belts on the sofa. Can this be done? Anyone have any info?
