The factory power cord that came with our 10-2000CD NL was only about 20' long, we almost always had to have an extension cord.
It never occurred to me to swap out our cord for a longer one until our good friend CDL2 made a very generous offer of a 30 amp cord he just happened to have hanging around and now we shouldn't have to use an extension cord for a long time.
Our new cord measures in at a whopping 45' long and heavier duty (10ga) to account for the length, an interesting part is NL had already put in a very large cord box and has plenty of room for all this cord.
How stiff is that cord when it is really cold out?
I want to change out our cord for a couple of reasons. 1, it is too short (it's only barely longer than our truck/camper, if run diagonally. I parked nose to a 30Amp outlet recently but it was on the front right corner, cord is left rear, and it almost wouldn't reach. 2, the space in the valve bay is too tight, even when the cord is flexible and most importantly, 3, when cold, I have to cram it in there so hard I am afraid I am going to break one of the valves, pipes, shower hoses etc if I am not very careful. I'm going to change to an external plug, coming downward from the bay, and store it elsewhere. One of these days.....
