As you can see we currently are driving a 40' Class A. We are looking seriously at moving to a 30 plus/minus Class C as we are only going to be on the road for 6 months of the year and our "full timing" is reduced to the 6 warm months of the year. I need opinions as to what would be best for us within the range of $100K. Fully equipped gas or diesel and able to pull 4500 tow car. We not looking for a weekender unit, we will be living in it for 6 months at a time. Thanks for any help.

Consider a 34' Super C. Like the Gulf Stream 6341 or Jayco 34SS. These have plenty of towing capacity and room to spend 6 months in.

I assume you calculated out the $$$ in this swap? You will lose your tail on resale on your unit. From your post, it doesn't seem like the length really affects you.
