In most cases, I'd RATHER do it myself. Congrats on the repair. Feels good doesn't it......

The new tool was a cut off wheel. Yes it does feel good to do it myself and I am sure I took better care than someone else would have. I am attempting to post the pics of the damage with no luck.

Congratulations on "DO IT YOURSELF." Grew up on a farm where it was do it yourself or do without. Found out early in life, one can louse up a job several times (learning in the process) and still come out ahead of "hired help." Recently fixed a window, fender skirts, rug replacement, sink replacement and a bunch of smaller things. A GOOD hardware store (not Lowe's or Home Despot) can offer good advice on projects. Good luck with all of it.
