On what the government of Canada allows, nothing beats the official pages by that government. These sites are generally kept up to date. Note that official Canadian website urls always contain "gc.ca"

For general information; Canadian Border Services Agency;
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/menu-eng.html

& http://www.beaware.gc.ca/english/toce.shtml

also;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/tourist.asp

for pets:http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/imp/petani/petanie.shtml

For non-Canadians wanting to work in Canada (workamping etc):
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-how.asp

Canadians Returning to Canada;
http://travel.gc.ca/returning

Weapons
This is info that I found on crossing the border with weapons. It is obviously subject to change at anytime. For specific up to date information it is best to contact the appropriate authorities on either side of the border.

Into Canada
