RE: Special 2 years for the price of one thru Camping world.

S. Wilmes,
I would like to thank you and the Good Sam Response Team for the emails confirming the expiration dates for my Roadside Assistance and TravelAssist plans.
If I should have been charged a higher rate for the GSRA plan, please advise me or have your team contact me with instructions or an invoice. I will gladly pay the correct fees.
Thanks again, Jim and Cindy

RE: Special 2 years for the price of one thru Camping world.

The flyer said on June 6 and did not say if it applied otherwise.
Maybe they will fix it, but how many calls to people who go duh will it take. It should not be that way.

Special 2 years for the price of one thru Camping world.

On June 6 as shown in the recent Camping World flyer, I phoned the 800 number and explained that I wanted to take advantage of the special promtion to pay for 1 year and and get 2 years. My current Good Sam Roadside Assistance is good until December 31, 2013. Since your representative said it was OK and the money is gone from my accout, I expect my membership to be good until December 31, 2015. Cards received today indicate that my plan will expire 7/6/2014. Did the same for the TravelAssist, took the money for the promotion and sent 1 year. What say yee??
How many of the other members are you doing this to that may not even realize they are not receiving goods promised.
I have been a staunch defender of Roadside Assistance on this forum in the past, but this smells strongly of incompetence, stupidity or fraud.

RE: Lifestyle Fifth Wheel/ Steel Frame

Lifestyle hired many of the former Carriage employees and they build their frames in house. Artic Fox is the only other manufacturer I know of that builds frames in house. You must have misunderstood about other frames not being steel. All 5th wheel frames are steel, just different grades of steel and quality of design and manufacturing. Lifstyle also has the unique rear basement just like our Cameo.

RE: Looking for affordable rv parking in San Fransisco area

First, you don't want to translate the daily rate into what you need. Ask the park you would like to stay for a monthly rate and tell them how many months you need to be there. Normally there is a very sustantial difference between daily, weekly and monthly rates.

RE: Where do you store your generator gas?

firemedic08, sorry just saw your post. I plumbed it into the house system. I use a hose and gas quick connect from US Carbureation. My system has 2 tanks with the auto changeover. I check once in a while depending on the weather and fill the empty.

RE: How Long Should I have to wait for a title??

They probably sold your note and are now just the middleman in the transaction. Might not even know where your title is. Contact your state DMV and the Better Business Bureau.

RE: Fresh water tank question

I like high deserts solution to use the tank drain lines for pump supply. Should make all the water capacity usable.

RE: Where do you store your generator gas?

One more thing, people will jump on here and compare propane to gasoline down to the penny per hour. We bought the propane Yamaha because it would be convienent to not have to carry gasoline. We camp to meet people, see the country and have fun. The nice clean Yamaha helps us do that.
Lp vs gasoline debate is always good around the campfire...;) Since I only have one 20 lb bottle of propane, it's not going toward a generator. Of course the cleanest option is solar.
Just curious, do they make kits to convert a Honda EU2000i to propane?
Bought our propane/natural gas/gasoline Yamaha new from US Carburetion, I know they make kits for a lot of different models. Our Yamaha has about 110 hrs on it and has never had gasoline in the tank.

Have a propane fueled Yamaha 2400 on a MorRyde slide in the front compartment with a quick connect I plumbed into the propane system. Love it.

RE: Coleman LED string light

We gave 2 sets to a cousin that has a campsite without power, they like them. Got them in Alabama at the Coleman outlet near Gulf Shores.

RE: Fresh water tank question

I don't know about the 1 1/2" but you cannot put the fittings exactly at the bottom of the tank. Is that small amount of extra water capacity enough to go through all that work. Ying and Yang, is it worth the effort.

RE: Need my fiver moved

Go to your new campground and ask at the office, willing to bet the owner/manager or a current guest would be willing to help out a new neighbor.

RE: Pullrite Superglide

We have a MorRyde hitch box and a MorRyde capture plate. While it can be removed, it would take a while. We have an adapter sold by PulRite to allow others to pull the RV.

Yellowing Slide Corners Solution
« on: April 01, 2012, 10:03:12 AM » Quote
The following is a post on the Carriage Forum about using a Sherwin Williams paint. Good Luck on your project. Let us know how it turns out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------The pieces that fit diagonally on our slide corners had started turning yellow, mainly, I guess because they aren't Gelcoated. A fellow RV'er some years ago told us about a paint that works wonders for that problem. We used it on the rim of our Cedar Creek door window and it stayed white for 5 years until last year when we traded for our Cameo. Just painted the pieces on our slides and now they match the Gelcoat of the Cameo. The paint is Sherwin Williams All Surface Enamel, Acrylic Latex High Gloss. We've noticed that every Carriage we've seen (without the full body paint) has the yellowing slide pieces. The paint goes on so well--I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.
