RE: Lessons we've learned over the years

After nearly 25 years of blissful marriage to my wonderful DW (and the last 15 of those camping in some type of trailer), I would have thought our communication skills would be better when it comes to backing up TT. I still don’t understand the “swatting flies” hand signals I see out the side view mirrors.
Ok, THAT made me laugh..:)
Just from this weekend:
1 Ran over chock (I love that my son wants to help but do a walkaround)..
2 Just because you feel the antenna stop when cranking doesnt mean its down..
3 Getting a LP hose to run to the grill for the QC on the back of the TT as I ran out of LP in my little bottle that "should have enough for this weekend"..
4 If the wife has to run the truck into town for a few things and you take the hitch out and put it on the ground make sure it is clear of the dog lines..shipyard workers would have been impressed with the knot they tied around it and the lines were covered in grease..
5 Look up the best way to remove imbedded ticks in your dogs nose while you have internet access..
6 Stated before but FILL the FW if camping with no water HU's..

RE: Help with gun selection

Taurus Judge gets my vote too with PDX1-410 shells from Winchester (as suggested before). I have a co-worker who I suggested the same set-up to for her home defense and she loves it.

RE: My life's next chapter

Welcome! Your rig looks cool! This may sound funny (and I am in no way making light of whatever situation you may be facing) but I am kinda envious in a way, you are getting to start an adventure that I will probably never get to do. Enjoy the open road wherever it may take you, be safe and take lots of pics!

RE: Warped Attitude

I didn't realize that when I joined the forum that I was required to answer each and every OP's question whether or not that I knew the answer. If I think I can provide valuable information, then I respond. I do not give useless answers just to be answering.

RE: slide button cover?

Carlon E98GFCM was my part number you are correct.
Note: I had to remove some of the plastic from the top of the half that attaches to the wall to allow the slide button to fit properly inside the cover (pic).
Happy Camping.

I think I have a sickness

My wife was telling a group of friends about her avid knitting hobby and one of them asked her what I did in my spare time. To which she replied somewhat sarcastically " he is a senior member of RV.NET"... I think an intervention is in the making.. ;)

RE: Spiders everywhere

Some people have luck with citrus sprays (natural) Try it if you dont want to bomb the rig. (google how to make it). Might not work but worth a shot, at least your RV will smell good :)

RE: CampingWorld has lost another Customer and refs for life!

I didn't think you could return anything once you put oil and gas in it unless it was defective and even then they would try to fix and return it to you..

RE: Extended cab vs crewcab

Crew cabs will generally have less towing capacity (by a small amount) of the 3 cab types. Having said that my next truck will be a CC 1 ton or I'm not even going to open the door on it, Not enough room in my supercab for kids and stuff. Happy Camping.

RE: slide button cover?

I leave the slide lock home.
Not an option,I did that once, the top of my slide tips out and had 2" of snow on top of my slide INSIDE the RV as it does not seal against the top (It was a wind driven snow in March).

slide button cover?

I have a small slide in the bedroom that requires a slide locking bar to hold the top against the seal (from factory) there is a sticker next to the slide button warning against movement until the bar is removed but I would like a more idiot-proof way of covering/locking the slide button until the bar is removed..Any ideas?
