RE: Hartford insurance

I’ve had the AARP Hartford aarp.thehartford.com for both my cars for over 10 years now and even though I’ve had only 1 claim in these years, I’ve never had a complaint with their service.

RE: 07 Coachman Wyoming siding

A similar thing happened to my sister’s camper last month. Thank God for insurance! She has the AARP Hartford on all her cars, as does my family, in case you were wondering. I sure as hell hope you have insurance, man. Good luck!

RE: We bought our new MH today! Ins question

Congratulations! We have The Hartford’s motorhome insurance. Been with them for about 12 years now and I think their service and rates are great. We went through the AARP (being 54) and got an additional discount so that was great. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable insurance provider. Enjoy your RV!

RE: RV Camping in Soldotna

There is 50amp service only on a few sites and 2 of them are pull throughs. However, they are at the end of the road and big rigs don't fit there. The size of the site is OK, but there is a danger of being hit by other campers as they make the turn.

RE: RV Purchase

I have a question about RVs. What is the most economical way to purchase one? And what is the most reliable way to make sure that you are getting quality for your money?

RE: Filon Repair

I have the aarp camper insurance, and if I were you I’d wait to see what my insurance company has to say about the damages.

RE: New to RV'ing and need help deciding on an ESP

I have the AARP motorhome insurance for about 8 years now. We sprung for the comprehensive and towing and labor. We got an additional discount through the AARP (if you’re 50 or over) and we’ve found their rates to be reasonable (varies by state) and service to prompt and hassle-free. Think about your preferences and buy a policy that fits your needs.

RE: Slideout locks required in Cananda?

We have owned two Dutch Stars and always use the slideout lock arms. I figure they are there for a reason. I think your RV tech needs to call Newmar for the correct information before giving his personal advice. Whats your opinion?

RE: Curtain Track for front window.

If you need bay window curtain poles then our bay window measuring guide will make sure you get exactly the right lengths of curtain pole needed, meaning you will only be paying for the length of bay window poles you need, and nothing more.

RE: What type of RV coverage do I need

If you’re going to use your RV full-time you need to make it clear to your insurance company. If you’re 50 or over, check out the AARP RV insurance- and opt for comprehensive coverage. Also, you can add unlimited coverage for just $40 so you’re paid for all your towing bills irrespective of the cost.

RE: Hartford vs National Pros & Cons

Rates vary by different factors, yes, but I’ve been insured by the AARP Hartford for a few years now and their rates are locked in for a year as opposed to 6 months as some other companies. You could take a look at the aarp online rv insurance quotes if you want, but I think speaking to a representative directly might be helpful. Another thing you should know- if you’re 50 or over and opt to be insured through the AARP, you get additional discounts.

RE: Hail damage - new TT - freaking out!!

I’m so sorry, that’s terrible. I don’t have experience with Allstate; have travel trailer insurance through AARP Hartford, which pays for damage caused by windstorm, hail, fire, theft etc. I think your best bet right would be to wait it out and see what you’re offered. Hopefully, it will work in your favor.

RE: Rv insurance

Get a quote from the aarp RV insurance. We’ve been insured through them for a little over 4 years now and so far it’s all been good. You can add unlimited coverage for $40 which means you’ll be paid for all your towing bills irrespective of the cost.

RE: Full Time Insurance In Canada

We’re insured by the AARP Hartford and so far we’ve found it be easy on the pocket. I think you should take a look at their RV and motorhome insurance rates to see if it fits your preferences.

RE: Two trailers, one truck???

Towing two vehicles with single truck. Dosen't sounds like a very good idea. There will be lot of issues while braking.

RE: What type of RV coverage do I need

You want full coverage just like at home. The problem comes when you say RV. Most insurance companies figure you are going to only use it part time, thus the lower insurance cost.
