RE: How do I maximize MPG? from miles per hour

Have you ever driven a car made in the 40's or early 50 and remember the vacuum windshield wipers? Imagine doing that and trying to keep the wipers going. This will improve your fuel mileage.

RE: Hwy 64 to Hwy 65 to I 70 in Missouri

A lot of 65 is 4 lane and it is a good road. Don't know were 64 is. Highway 54 connects up with I-70 and a lot of it is also 4 lane. The road I would use would depend on which way I was going to go when I got to I-70.

RE: Tpm

I just bought the TST 507 with the flow through sensors. Had to return three of the six sensors because it took about two hours for them to register with the monitor.

RE: TST TPMS how to delete tire sensor from monitor?

I had to call TST to find out how to do it. My manual did not cover this either. TST said they always program the right front tire into the monitor.

RE: Passport America Camping Directory

I had to call every year to get mine.

RE: Toad + Tire Monitor + How far over/under parameters?

My TST tire monitors came with instructions to set them at 10% under and 20% over. So far that has worked fine. They also said to set the temperature at 158 degrees. Michelin states that tires can stand 180 degrees before they start being damaged.

RE: dumping fresh water question

Or just open it as the last thing out of the campsite, after the dump station. Won't hurt the hiway a bit and gives other drivers something to talk about.:B Excellent idea....That is what I do.

RE: Dual rear tire valves

My truck came with valve caps that allowed checking the air pressure without removing them. These are metal but years ago I had some that were plastic.

RE: TST tpms battery change?

I haven't done it but it looks like you would just remove the two screws and the plate would come off. Put the new o ring gasket in place and replace the plate. I guess you are referring to the new 507 from TST.

RE: Travel Through Kansas Hwy 56 to Elkhart

I travel 56 twice a year and it is a good road. A little rough in OK but doable. Not much traffic either.

RE: 2002 F350 Lariat with 7.3L Diesel

The only weak point is the transmission. Figure on a new one any time over 100,000 miles.

RE: Deep discount on 1 model year old TH?

Dealers will try to make you think you are getting a discount but in reality, no. I would order to get just what you want, don't settle for something else.

RE: We Took Your Advice Ordered a Dually

You will be amazed when you start towing with the dually. Good choice. Regarding a cover, I went with a soft roll up cover. There are several good ones out there. Mine is a TruXcedo.

RE: How much do you need?

I would not get too much before you do some camping. Get the sewer hose and water hose then wait and get what you determine you want later. Don't buy a bunch of stuff you will never use. I hauled around a green carpet for years and used it once in 2004. Haven't used it since.

RE: Dearborn MI: Ford Museum and Greenfield Village

However you get there, it's worth the trip to see this museum!!!X 2. The Ford Museum is the best one I have ever seen.

RE: Good Sam or Coach Net.

I have had both and was satisfied with both. Switch every year and get the introductory price.

RE: anyone using Firestone Transforce HT tires ?

I had these on my pickup a few years ago. The only complaint I had was poor traction on wet pavement. If the road is wet, go easy on the throttle.

RE: southwest itinerary

There are three ruins near Camp Verde north of Phoenix. In Phoenix is Pueblo Grande near the east end of the airport. South of Phoenix is a one of a kind ruins at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. East of Phoenix at Globe is a city owned ruins that has partially been rebuilt. These are all ruins of a culture that existed in the valley from about the time of Christ until the mid 1400's. Most of these ruins are different in the type of architecture that was used. The largest, a four story structure made of an adobe like material, is at Coolidge, AZ, at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.
