RE: Electric trailer tongue jack?

Do a search for a factory reconditioned UltraFab 3500. You can get one for about $100 with the factory warranty. I have been using my UF 3500 for many years and it works great. Like this one; http://www.adventurerv.net/ultra-fab-3502-electric-power-tongue-jack-3500-refurbished-p-11522.html

RE: Outer Banks or Fla panhandle? Compare

The Florida Gulf coast has some of the finest beaches and beach state parks in the world.

RE: Running AC off of my home's current/Please Respond

I can run my 13.5 btu AC for my TT from my 20A/120V washing machine plug all day long with no issue. It requires a properly sized extension cord. The only thing that will affect your AC is running on low voltage (under 108V, this will kill it), insufficient amperage (under 20A the breaker will trip) or plugging it into a 220A outlet (likely will fry all electrical circuits and devices).

RE: Tire Choices

I realize I am going to get a variety of responses, but I have to replace a tire on my 2007 Cherokee by Forest River 18-DD. These are my choices: Super Trail Goodyear Marathon Carlisle Radial Trail Triangle Radial Akuret Which is my best bet? It is a 205/75R15 and I need to get something local. Thanks, None of the above

RE: Ford Australia

If they cannot make a profit there then they should close down the operations.

RE: I Need to Vent!!!

Purchasing from the right dealer is often more important than squeezing the last few hundred dollars from one.

RE: Reserve America magazine scam

I have never had an issue with RA and I use it frequently. I do read all the fine print and review the checked boxes though. It has worked well for me.

RE: Reserve America magazine scam

I believe there is a box that must be unchecked at some point in the reservation process that will get you if you do not read carefully. Interesting that I have not seen it in a long time when I make reservations on RA so I am not sure if it is user specific or ran during certain time frames. Dispute the charge with your CC company and file a complaint with the appropriate agencies.

I do not have an anode rod and prefer this arrangement.

RE: Virginia State Parks

It's about damned time. Site specific reservations may have some drawbacks to those who are not working or are poor planners but I will rarely visit a SP CG that I cannot pick my site at for many reasons.

RE: a windshield wiper simple tip

A buddy of mine just did the same thing. Said there was no way he was going to spend $60+ on wiper blades. Sounds like a good alternative to me.

Chocking the wheels is "Set Up 101", even if you THINK it's level ground.

RE: Tear drop

It depends on what type of camping you intend on doing. State parks, NFS sites, BLM, NPS sites, private CG's/Resorts?

RE: This is the end of May, Memorial Day weekend, Right?

It is still spring down here in the deep south too. Lows in the 60's each morning with highs in the mid 80's but it will warm up soon. I have always wondered why the English language has no punctuation marks to indicate sarcasm? Interesting isn't it?

RE: "Cosmotaf".. ask about traveling in

I don't know much about tornados (hurricane expert, Florida native) but I doubt there is a tornado proof shelter given the power of some of the bad ones.
