RE: Rest Areas Safe?

16 rounds of 9mm make all of them perfectly safe for me and the wife . You are foolish IMO if you drive a Coach around and don't exercise your 2 nd amendment right . When driving a coach around in some areas I sometimes feel like a Wildebeest on the Savanna as lions look for dinner - if you get my drift . I have found that duct tapeing a sawed off 12 gauge to the steering wheel, loaded and aimed at the door, so all you have to do is hit the trigger, will keep you safe. :S

RE: Cleaning the Gray water sensors?

If that does not work they say a bag of ice generally will.. I replaced mine with the Horst sensors. No more issues. Just wondering, how do you get the "ice" into the gray tank?

RE: fuel filler hose cost??

Took Mh to local RV shop to get the fuel filler hose replaced. F53 Chassis, 1997 Dolphin. Charge for 4 feet of hose was $147.00. That is 36.75 a foot. Near as I can tell from looking on line just now that is about twice the cost it should have been. Don't know what the ID was but even at 2 inches that still seems high. Suspect the ID is about 1 and 1/2 inches at the most. Any other opinions or actual cost experience? Thanks As per your post, this is what they charged for the hose. How much was the labor charge in addition to the cost of the hose, or did you replace it yourself?

RE: Warped Attitude

I didn't realize that when I joined the forum that I was required to answer each and every OP's question whether or not that I knew the answer. If I think I can provide valuable information, then I respond. I do not give useless answers just to be answering. Ray Unless I was trying to get to 200 posts...:B :B We do not require answers from posters that have no idea what they are posting about. Would appreciate you abstaining from posting and comenting. I see you have no valuable info so why don't you just "shut up" ?

Warped Attitude

You know, this site used to be about swaping info on maintaing your RV but has turned into a B***h session about nothing. Example : http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26942416.cfm is a post asking for help with their MH, it got 21 replies so far. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26940817.cfm about Boondocking at Walmart has 73 replies. Everyone has to get their 2 cents worth in about Walmart but very few care to help a fellow RVer with their problem.

RE: Crazy steering wobble/shake

Imbalance from left to right? Like if one side of your RV is overloaded and the other side light? Did this happen with the holding tanks empty? Or full? I've only had the death wobble twice, both times it was with nearly full holding tanks, grey, black and water. Both times, slowing to a stop caused it to go away. Both times the front end components checked out OK. Now I always dump before driving. Jim, Suspect all your tanks are in back. When full, they UNLOAD the front axle, making it much more sensitive to any "out of spec" conditions. I agree with Wolfe10. When you accelerate, you are "unloading" the front axle. I would re-weigh the coach and move as much weight to the front as possible. That would be a very cheap fix if it works.

RE: Use of Orange/Yellow cones is a must!

NASCAR makes you serve a "pass through penalty" if you take out the cone at the entrance to pit road. I reccomend the same for your Class A driver. :R

RE: Dumping air when parked

The manual on my HR say's: Slides out, Dump air, Jacks down. When leaving: Jacks up, Air up, Slides in. Get out "fast" before someone complains. :?

RE: Toyo vs Hankook Tires

No comparision. Hankook is superior in everyway. Reason, I have them on my MH and that's plenty of reason for me. :B

RE: Good Sam Rally Locations

The Good Sam organization should stand up for freedom, and holding a national rally in Syracuse, NY (where the state has revoked 2nd amendment) is appalling. Same for Colorado and other states where laws have been implemented to destroy civil rights of law-abiding citizens. This should be a major consideration for all future rally locations! Maybe they should hold the rally in Venezuela? Would that make you happy? :S

RE: Where to Stay in Vegas?

we've stayed over on Boulder Highway at Sam's Town RV park. They have a shuttle to the strip. The sites are not big, but some are shaded and it's clean and not as pricey as the Oasis or Circus Circus. X2

RE: Space shuttle amonia leak.

Rumor is they are thinking about replacing it with a "House" type unit if they can get a Inverter and solar panel to handle it. :R

RE: I'm a retired salesman

I retired from the Insurance Business. We sold Auto, Home, and Life Ins. Never had a person "lie" about their driving record so as to get Auto Ins. :B About 90% of the people shopping for Auto Ins. do not qualify. They are running from a "cancellation" or a "at fault accident" they forgot about. Funny how the client you spent day's on trying to convince them they need Life Ins., forgot to tell you their "Blood pressure" is through the roof or they are a "diabetic". Just does not matter to them. Every time a "tornado" warning was posted, we were covered up with people wanting to Insure property they have owned for yrs. There are many more "crooked" people out there than "crooked" salespeople. Thank goodness that era of my life is over.

RE: Customer Service

I agree that if you spend $2700 you should expect getting your tires gauged, but, did you want them gauged wrong? I agree that they should have ask for the correct pressures but they did not and you did not offer. Sounds like a stand off. At least you learned what "not" to expect from them.

RE: Best, cheap Insurance

i understand but sometimes this is a geriatric therapy session LOL Well, I don't have a "clue" what that means. Sorry if I offended you. Just be prepared to answer the questions I listed if you go shopping for MH coverage otherwise you will be SOL.
