RE: Coleman Fleetwood 12 volt system problem

JLTN_James, Side-bar discussion. Your post shows you as as senior member while mine says new member, yet we both joined in 2009. Do you know what causes this to be displayed? I've checked the account settings and cannot find any way to change this.

RE: Coleman Fleetwood 12 volt system problem

The wires at one of my roof supports are always coming disconnected. They supply 12V to the roof lights and fan. I'll bet Beverley&Ken and Leaf-Peeper hit the nail on the head.

RE: What did you do to your PUP today?

I thought about knocking the 15 inches of snow off the top yesterday. Does that count as doing something to my PUP?

RE: Stabilizing a Desktop Computer While Traveling

I lost a glass turntable for my microwave by not thinking about the bumps on a gravel road. I would assume some hard drives would also be negatively affected. I would definately recommend cushioning the desktop unit like go_dogs or WoodGlue suggest over securing it to a jarring trailer. Most drives that suffer crashed heads are unrecoverable.

RE: Newb wants a neat PUP toy

We spent three days in southern Texas one summer and would not have survived without our 120V Ice Maker. It ran non-stop and kept the five of us supplied in cool drinks the whole weekend.

RE: Forest River Flagstaff or Jayco Baja

Toilets are REAL nice at 2 am. Our shower is wasted space for us.

RE: Atwood Furnace

Thanks for the link, regis101. The thread seems to mimic what the OP stated about the voltage to noise ratio. I especially liked the 10-11-12 volt switchable regulator idea. Between that, the mat, and the better support during installation, I'll bet the noise level will drop significantly.

RE: Atwood Furnace

To answer the OP's question, no - but I don't see a problem as long as it is wired correctly. Be aware that the regulator will add an additional load to your system and when off the grid will cause your battery to drain faster.

RE: Alarm system question for tent campers

I have a hitch lock (from Wally World) to keep honest people honest. I let my homeowner's insurance take care of the rest. If a thief wants to risk jail time for some pillows and old silverware, so be it.

RE: Open up one bed only for naps? :-)

On my rig, I would have to open the front bunk to be able to enter the Pup. I can't do that while connected to the TV, so it is a moot point. I don't see a problem with what you want to do as long as there is no rain or heavy dew.
