I've got about 5000 towing miles on mine, 130,000 total miles. Works great! I use the Ready Brute w/Ready Brake and like it alot! 2004 Colorado LS 4 door. I like the fact that it doesn't need the key on or in the ignition (no steering lock).

Another Canyon owner here.

2009 Crew Cab has about 10000km towing on it. No problems at all!

Just purchased a used GMC Canyon for a toad, previously had a Honda CR-V. Plan to use my Blue Ox Adventa LX tow bar and Brake Buddy Vantage Select.
Needing a new baseplate I was looking at both the Blue Ox and Demco, but I believe I need to change brackets on the tow bar for the Demco, thus there'll be no saving.
What has any one done about wiring of the lights, looks like there's very little space to add extra bulbs and remain independent of the toads wiring. Anyone used the Demco plug and play using the vehicles wiring? Any problems?
Appreciate any feed back Thanks

What are you Colorado owners using on the toad for a braking system? Just bought a 2012 ZR1 along with the M&G brake system. M&G said the system will fit providing I replace the battery with a smaller Group 51. Anybody done this? We've had the M&G on our 07 Malibu for 4 years and really love it. Will have it installed next month if it fits. Don't want to mess with those systems you have to remove each time you want to tow and clamp a bracket on the brake pedal. Thanks, Walt

Not to steal a thread but I have a friend that her elderly mother who travels alone, God love her, tows a Canyon and the battery is always dead when she gets to her destination. What is she doing wrong? Tks.

Dumptrucker: I tow a 4WD Canyon Crewcab and have an SMI Stay-N-Play system. The version I have is a box about 10 x 10 inches that I installed under the real seat.

rockhillmanor: Is the mother's Canyon 4WD or does she have to leave the key in the ignition to unlock the steering? Also, what kind of braking system and where does power come from?
