My new Jeep is 2" higher than the old one necessitating the use of a 2" riser.

I didn't like the slop and excess length that added.

I replaced the stinger on the tow bar with Blue Ox's "short" one to decrease the length.

I then added two Blue Ox Hitch Immobilizers to the setup to eliminate the "slop".

Connection is SOLID now and the overall length of the tow bar is only about 2" longer than before with the standard length stinger plugged directly into the MH's receiver.

I use one immobilizer for the drop receiver but for the tow bar I slide in a piece of 1/16" x 1-1/2" wide aluminum strip to fill the gap and hold it in place with a plastic zip lock, it works just as good as the immobilizer and you don't have to take it off. You could use steel instead of aluminum but it will rust.
