Don't forget that powdered milk is available and is much better than the old stuff used to be. It works quite well for cooking and can even be drunk if well chilled. I sometimes put a drop of vanilla into it to make sure there is no funny after taste.


Both retired. Travel with Nicky the Schnoodle. Son graduated and is teaching high school math. We still love our 2006 34' Allegro Bay XB and have 40,000+ miles on her.

Pie irons a great for just such a trip. Two slices of buttered bread, a slice of cheese, a piece of pre-cooked bacon....crack an egg, close it up, good breakfast. You can also make grilled cheese, pizzas, apple pie, pretty much anything you want to put between bread. Season the pie irons well before and after use.
