Here's a way you can have your boat and trailer too! They passed us not too long before this rest area. Older couple in their late 60's owns it.

My husband and his fishing buddy built one of those for the buddy's little truck that tows behind the motor home. Real clever how they put in an electric winch to load/unload...

Works just fine...so far!

The rack's all aluminum, so not much weight there. Don't even get me started about the hours and hours of time those two spent with CAD drawings and etc.....there's nothing worse than being hooked up with a couple of underemployed engineers!

Maybe when you approach age 70, you're no longer competent to tow the boat behind the camper trailer? Really, tandems aren't that difficult, I know, I've done it. And not using a turbodiesel or a dually, either.

'06 GMC C2500HD RCLB gasser 4.10:1, 4L80E, custom camshaft
'84 Trans Am 6.2 diesel, 700R-4, custom Class-3 receiver
'69 F350 dually. GM 6.2 diesel, turbo, 700R-4, NP208 all pending.

I didn't mention the couples apparent age to be mean in any way...

I mentioned it because this whole setup looks to be pretty new and innovative and I thought it was cool that they enjoy camping and fishing/boating..

As far as I know, you can't tow tandem with a TT as one of the trailers in WA?? I'm not even sure you can with a 5th wheel??

Anyway, I think it's a fine setup and I would hope I'm able to do something like that when I reach their age...
