It kind of depends on what you want it for, and what your climate is. I've used an Adco Tyvek while in winter storage for several years and have been happy with it. There are different ones for the type of weather you'll use it in. Mine is a universal cover.

I have an Adco Tyvek as well and have used it for 5 winters. It has held up well except where I snagged it on a gutter extension and where a friend backed in to it with a hot leaf blower. The storage bag that comes with it is very handy, too.

I got 6 years out of the 1st Adco Tyvek. Got a few small hole from sharp objects over the years but it worked out well forthe $. Just bought a new one this past winter. it took 4 months to get it when ordered in the late fall. I found that my 1st cover was no longer usable when the fabric sides just started the fall apart, kind of like wet paper towels. Definitly had reached the end of it's life...

We've had one for the two travel trailers we've owned. We live in the Midwest and only use it in the Winter from the beginning of November to the middle of March. It does get pulled off a couple of times for trips to the south. Yes, we snagged ours, also. But now put cut tennis balls over the gutter extensions to prevent that snag. It keeps water or snow from sitting in those tight spaces on the roof, where it can freeze, expand and create a leak during those cold months.

Hi-
Pretty sure I will get a cover. Despite my extensive roof repair last year, this winter I still seem to have had some water find it's way in...
**Funny question, but can I drive a short distance (no freeway) with cover on?
My storage is about 6 miles from home. The covering and uncovering would be easier at home with ladders available-
If I have to, I can take ladders with me to cover at storage-
Leaning toward the Tyvek- rain and moisture protection is most improtant for me.

Personally I wouldn't drive with it on but in reality you probably can. Mine has gone through 30-40 mile an hour winds with little damage so I'd expect you'd do the same if you can keep your speed way down. You have to band it up enough so as not to billow, I put a belly band around the whole trailer which takes a number of cargo straps. Again, I would not drive with it on, they cost more money then I'm willing to through away doing something that could prove to be a dumb move.
You'd have to do something with all the extra strap, the tails end up 10 or so feet long after tightening them. If you were to drive over one it's do some damage.

I would not recommend an ADCO universal fit cover. I bought one 3 years ago for my 33' 5th wheel. Due to extensive travel it has only been on the trailer a total of about 6 months. 4 of the 6 zippers which are very small and of poor quality, have failed, rendering the cover useless. It has to be junked and a new one purchased. It will not be an ADCO product.
