I have a water damaged floor in an 05 Keystone sprinter. One side was so damaged that the floor droops low and causes the slide to catch on the main floor and pull up the flooring every time you try to bring the slide in. The outside up/down adjustment does nothing as it will still catch even adjusted high. I found a video of some guys who use a 2x4 deadman on both sides outside the camper so you don't have to remove the whole slide room from the camper just to do the floor. Ingenious to say the least, but my question is that this floor uses 23/32 plywood that looks to have a bevel edge on the front leading edge. I'm not a carpenter, but is this necessary? If so how do i bevel it without some sort of special saw that I probably don't have.... There were also two pieces (one on each end) of plastic that I thought were used to hold the carpeting down from the main floor, but now I'm wondering if they serve as a lift for the slide room as it comes in, to "bump" it up above the main floor to avoid hitting it. Any advice appreciated

Had to have floor replaced in our slide out........it had to be removed and turned on its side so the sub-floor could be removed and new floor installed. This was on a 10' slide-out with pantry and entertainment center. Maybe with a smaller slide it could be done without removal.
Got a link to the video?

The bevel on edge is so as the slide comes in the bevel edge makes contact with the rollers and then glides up on to them.
IIRC the bevel on ours was something like 62 degrees......for it to sit down correctly when extended and glide up/onto rollers when retracted.

Plus the floor needed to be wrapped with the black material to protect from water/debris.

my slide doesn't have rollers (unless those pieces are it, the ones that were screwed down to the carpet) and is only a bedroom slide, maybe 6-7 ft long. The odd thing is the bevel goes downward, not up, on mine. So I don't see how that serves any purpose. I may have to get some pics up to show everyone
