I owned one many years back, it was a long bed model. I don't know that Fleetwood made a short bed camper in the Angler. If you find one realize it will be an orphan. Since they are orphans info may be hard to come by.

I'm saying this based on the assumption that no other manufacturer has taken over the line like fleetwood did to coleman PUPs.

I just bought a 2000 Angler and carry it in a 6.6' Chevy 2500. It sticks out just past the tailgate and fills the wheel wells. Mine has an extended bed. The TC rides perfectly. I have Timbrens to counter sway. I sold my PU to a buddy at work and have only taken the Angler out one time. The Angler gets it's name, I guess, because of the fishing pole holder in the right rear cargo box. You can lock your poles up in this compartment. I didn't buy an 8 year old TC for customer support. I got a great deal on a TC that had all the features I was looking for. Let me know how you fair. Maybe we can start an Angler Sticky.

I carry a Fleetwood Angler 8B on a GMC X-cab SB 4x4 -- weights 2190 lbs wet and loaded for travel. It sticks out over the bed-end about 15 inches or so, and has the side-cabinets. I also have Timbrens and they work well -- eliminate most of the sway and hold the camper pretty level ...

Send me a PM with your email on it and I'll send you photos of it on my truck

I have a 2000 Angler 8b Shrot bed model, has tail lights.

It is a lot of camper for the money, Lots of nice features, Light weight, Cheap, decent construction. Can't go wrong.
we have it on a 06 2500 sb chevy. Fits the truck great, well with in the weight range. I have timbrens, truck drives like it is not on there.
We have taken it into some really remote places with no issue.

Hi B-n-B, I have an Angler but there was no factory info with the camper when I purchased it. I would very much like to have a copy of the pdf. file (or a link to it) that you posted earlier in the topic discussion. Thank you very much. Mike

P.S. David, my camper has skirts that cover the 'hang over' portion of the camper when it is carried on a short bed pickup. The P.O. had it on a short bed Ford S.D. with no problem. I have it on a long bed S.D. and the only problem I have encountered is that there is less than an inch of clearance at the tail gate uprights on each side of the of the camper on the long bed Ford. No problem, I'll get it to you when I get home later today. I have the pdf file, but the link I got it from a while back no longer works.
