Forest River Rockwood Roo 23SS due to arrive and become mine at home around 9/23/08. It was ordered before my husband passed on and it is the cream cabinets with stainless steel appliances, the woodgrain look floor and brownish interior. We got every option that was offered except the heated holding tanks and the storm windows (maybe we should have in retrospect)
More about SATCRNP1972
Recently widowed, I will be taking ownership possession of a brand new 2009 Forest River Inc. Rockwood Roo 23SS model in about 10 days that was ordered a few weeks ago. I have camped in fold-top pop-up (name varies by locale I have learned ) campers (first used, second new and had slide, bath, all that) later. I have towed, backed and driven and setup alone (the non-hybrids) I have two young twin children who so far love the outdoors and I want to continue this tradition and try to be as independent as I can be in doing the 'work part' now that I will be doing it single. My big sister suggested these personal forums as an addition and aid to the dealer info and book info. I look forward to getting the new Roo model and communicating with other hybrid and other campers. I am in my 30s and my kids just started school so not really big or much help but they try. We live in Southern Indiana with no plans to move. Our season will be limited by time and weather alike. We also own some land in warmer locales to camp perhaps later on. I thank you for any help and especially How To's and accompanying photos of How To's. Don't think I'm being standoffish as I give my sister's email to start, just it takes time . I do have a sense of humor and look forward to the funny stories from you all and sharing mine as well as the knowledgeable ones. I have a pretty intense career as well as being a single mom now (pretty recent on the widowhood thing) as a nurse practitioner. Getting time away and out in the simple life outdoors is welcoming although I admit I am the one that wanted the Hybrid from the fancy slide out and bathroom highwall pop-up (push button) previous camper or the really hard work one before.
My name is Sarah. And I hope you will not laugh too hard at me as I learn about this. Laugh with me is good though!
