It has become pretty common in our hometown for gas prices to jump 40 cents at a time, then go back down in 10 cent increments, followed by another 40 cent jump. If I HAVE to buy gas when it is high, I will just get $20 worth and put it on my card - even if I have to do that twice a week.
I figure it serves them right to have to pay the merchant fee for processing the payment if I have to buy gas that is price-gouged. :)

Our local Wal - Mart averages about three cents a gallon less than the cheapest Diesel fuel nearby. If you use a Wal - Mart card it's three cents less than their regular price. So I keep a card just for fuel. Over time, it saves some money.I've used it all over the US. Savings vary from place to place, and sometimes (like right now) they have fifteen cents off. Doesn't cost me anything, so why mot use it?
I know this is slightly off the OP topic, but if you buy a WM gift card in the store, then use it to purchase your gas at WM pumps you save 10 cents per gallon.
Our last fillup was diesel at $3.49 per gallon.

We didn't quite get away with a rain-free weekend, but with my history... :B:B
Anyway thanks to everyone for being good sports about our chilly potluck. We throughly enjoyed the music in the lobby last night! And we never did get to the pool, but that's a good reason to return right?

Wow, Sauder Village is a great place to visit! So much to see and do, I wish the day had been a little warmer, but hey, at least it is not rain (yet) :B

We had a nice chat sans campfire this evening - this is a very nice campground but there are some skeeters that we need to get rid of!

Hi all, we were camping without internet this weekend so here's the latest update...
We will arrive on Thursday evening (probably after 7pm) so anyone who is already there should go ahead and eat without us - you are on your own!
Friday night we will probably eat at the on site restaurant and Saturday night we will have a potluck - weather permitting as there is no shelter. We will bring our easy-up so a sprinkle won't stop the fun, but with my history....
:B:B you all know how that is!
Randu, I do not know about bike trails, maybe someone will know...

For over three weeks I had no definite plans of my own except Friday May 3rd and no flights. Suddenly on the evening of May 2nd I get a desperate call for a trip also on May 3rd.
I booked Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun for Sauder Village and no one had any flights scheduled, until last nite someone now wants to do an overniter Thurs morn into Friday afternoon after this company has had nothing for over three months and nothing scheduled for the next three months. Told them I could only do a one day on Thursday or I have the first three days of this week and all the following week if they wanted an overniter. Oh how I love being on call 24/7/365....NOT!!!
First rally of the year, you must attend! :B:B

Hi two slides! Do come! You are a little further away than we are... we live near Columbus (Indiana), but we keep hanging around this group! We are driving up Thursday evening.
Tell your wife that several of the ladies quilt! I for one plan to spend quite a bit of time ($$$) at the quilt store.
