My grandson is considering staying in a TT while attending Texas A&M. Can anyone tell me if workamping is a possibility for college students? I did use the search feature but came up with zero results.
Thanks

Workamping is available to all of those that get out and work.

In our first RVP after going FT, a young lady lived next door in an AVION TT. She was a FT student in college. It was an inexpensive way for her to live.

Most of the workamping positions I've read prefer a couple, but some will use a single. Since weekends are busiest at CG's, that would be when he would be free to work. There are quite a few RVP's within a few miles of TAM, so I would have him start calling around for monthly rates and the possibility of working for his site.

I stay in my own Travel Trailer while in college at Texas Tech.

I am not sure if your grandson will work while attending school, but I do and most days I will be gone from the trailer from 6:45 in the morning to 7, 8 or even 9 in the evening.

I would think that an RV park owner would want a person workcamping to be around in the daytime.

If your grandson is worried about the money, it will be much more profitable to find a job somewhere else.

Working one month for $200 of site rent would not be worth my while when I can make triple that working part time in only two weeks.

If he can do IT, webdesign, etc there is decent money to be made while attending school.

Take a look at my website in my signature for more info on how I do it.

we spent last winter in the bryon/college station area.....and just don't remember that many rv parks in that area.....we stayed out at somerville......but to make this work, he is gonna want a couple places to choose from...plus he might want to find a spot close so he can occassionally ride a bike or walk to classes.........and I just don't remember seeing any rv parks in that area when we made our sams club trips......hahahahaha......

good luck
