Looking for input on how a dealer determines the trade in value of an RV or travel trailer. We have all used NADA or some other reference to check but those numbers seem far different from what dealers are offering as a trade. Most times they will give you a value of your trade sight unseen. Most of us take pride in our units and keep them well maintained. We have all see what neglect can do to a camper. How does the dealer know this when they do not look at the unit? Does what your buying and it's price have a bearing on your trade, similar to an car or truck? Thanks for any help.

Call your bank and ask them for the loan value on your rig. That will give you somewhere to start. Best of luck.

Most of them use NADA but not the retail price. they give NADA wholesale price as a trade amount. Good luck / skip
