Need ideas fast. We want to get out one more time this year over UEA weekend, October 11th. Wife wants to be in the trees, but we don't want to freeze. Any suggestions anywhere in Utah? Thanks, Randy
UPDATE:
Well, we did Cedar Mountian, just outside of Cleveland. Not quite all the way to the San Rafeal swell. We camped on the lower part of the mountain, just as the cedars start, so not too cool. The kids had ample room to ride, and they even found arrow heads. We took a couple of trips to the top of the mountain, which was a little chilly early in the day. There is an airstrip right on the peak, and on the last day a plane came in to do a touch and go. Must be quite a trip as the cliff drops off right at the end of the runway. We also found a couple of great atv trails. One was just off the runway, marked extreme difficulty, which literally made its way down the face of the cliff. There were a couple more back towards camp that took off the south side of the mountain down to the dry river beds. We will definitely go back for more exploring.
Looks like we'll be doing the new park outside of St. Goerge over Thanksgiving. Anyone have opinions there?

UEA is Utah Education Association. Once a year in October, grade school teachers have a convention and there is no school Thursday and Friday, creating a 4 day weekend. We refer to it as UEA weekend. Hint: Don't do Disneyland over UEA Anyway, I had my dates wrong. This year it is from the 16th to the 19th. We have an 8 year old, a 6 year old and a 2 year old, and the baby won't want to be cooped up in the trailer for 4 days. My wife's sister's family will also be with us. Their kids are from a 10 year old down to an infant. We only have 4 atv's between us, so hopefully we can find someplace warm enough that those not out on the machines can have something to do outside at camp. I was thinking someplace around Moab, or the National Parks in Southern Utah, so we could do some side trips as well. Agian, my wife likes to be where there are trees and shade. Any other ideas?
Glad you had your dates off since we hope to be in Marysvale and on the Paiute Trail the 11th to the 17th, depending on the snow and hunting season in that area. There are not many trees around Moab but some areas have beautiful cliffs and trees if you plan on boondocking.

Piaute Trail or Moab... although places on the Piaute trail in the higher eleveations might get a bit chilly this time of year. Or some of the places around St George... Coral Pink sand dunes or Sand Hallow reservoir and sand dunes. A lot of great places to ride.
