Im reminded by the fuel shortage lines forming at filling stations of the times in So. Cal back in the '70. We used to get up and head to the filling stations just to sit and wait sometimes til 8:00 for them to open.
But there is no one smarter than the California boys. After the 'Diamond' lanes started (requires 2 or more passengers) there were people selling 'blow up dolls' at the bottom of access on-ramps of the San Diego and Golden State freeways. For real!
Californians dont follow trends. They set them.
