Hello everyone,

I must say that I have been stuck at this computer for a few days looking over the post on this forum. I have learned lot of things and I don't even have a TT yet!
Me, my wife, and the three kids have been seriously thinking of buying a camper. I came across a 2009 Jayco Jayflight 26BH that was fairly "loaded" with extras for under $15,000. I couldn't believe the price for the size of this thing (MSRP 20,299). The 19BH, which has the same floorplan minus the entire front queen bedroom, was the same price. We could not get a good answer as to why they were the same.
I wanted to see if anyone knows anything about this particular model before we decide. I have heard that Jayco is a pretty good brand and I like the 2 year warrantee. We were able to do a quick walkthrough the other day with the kids and they seemed to like it.

BTW: We have a 2003 Ford Expedition 5.4l V8 with a factory class IV hitch installed to tow with. I have been looking into the WD hitches and I came across this one Pro Series SC Weight Distribution . Anybody know if its a good one?

Thanks in advance.

MSU70 it is truly a good time price wise to buy because it is truly a bad time to buy for many. That is only 6' shorter than our MH so you will have a lot of space. Kids will like about any RV you can buy.

We came out of a resturant one day and a MH was in the parking lot and the kids asked if we could get one and without thinking I said "Maybe" and a few weeks later we owned a MH. We do out of town swim meets in ours so we use ours all year. 16 F is our lowest temperature to sleep in it. You will enjoy any RV you get.

How do you plan to use your RV for the most part?

Be careful of dealer posted MSRP's. A 2009 26BH on Jayco's site with every option available is posted with a MSRP of $18449.

Gale,
Thanks for the reply. To answer your question, We typically do a lot of traveling throughout the year. We try to get the kids to beach at least once a year. I go to a firefighters convention every year in Baltimroe with the familly. This year, we combined those two trips into a 10 day vacation. The lodging alone was $1,300. About three hours from home is an amusement part in which we buy season tickets. We go there lots of times.
Although the price of lodging is a big factor, what I hate the most is unpacking at a motel.

You are right. The only thing that I'm not sure of is when you go to the site it says 2008. I remember the trailer having all of the extras except the 30lb tanks.

Can't say enough good things about the Jayco! Great trailer!

We looked a a lot of trailers before we found "the one". Many had features we liked, but none in one package. The minute we saw the Jayco, we knew it was it! Haven't looked back since and when we go to RV shows, we still don't find one we like better!

We have the bigger 29FBS, but get what suits you best! We've only had minor issues with the Jayco, loose screws and such. Only 2 issues that needed warranty work: A warped piece of siding, and a cracked microwave cabinet. All fixed without hassle.

Good luck!

we have the 26 also. love it. it's an 08 and have not had a problem out of it. I pull it with a f250 6.4l and get between 10.8 and 11.6 depending on wind direction.

Jayco make a great trailer. We've towed ours over 6000 miles in under two years and haven't had any problems with it.

Good company, good customer service, great trailer.

Price sounds pretty good too. We have a 27BH and paid under $15,000 about 2 years ago.

Price on yours though will depend on if it's a G2 model or not. The year after we bought ours they split and made a model that's a bit cheaper and then a fully loaded model with a lot of extra's called the G2. Ours would be equivalent to the G2 line.

The G2 line has many options - like a DSI water heater (electric/gas that lights automatically - no having to go out and light a pilot light), extra cabinets in some cases and a large list of options that although aren't completely "needed", make it nice. I had made a list of those on another thread, if you want to read the differences, let me know and i'll find it.

We have an 2008 Jayco Jayflight 26BH and love it!! Great quality, fair price. I would buy it over again if I was in the market. Ours has many of the G2 accessories but is not a G2. Just the way the dealer ordered it. Have fun shopping!!
