I would love nothing more than to build my own but I would have to learn not to over build. I'm afraid mine would weight 10 ton lol. I think I would like to buy finished to the outside and totally do the inside.
Cool video. In the late 70's early 80's my friends dad built his own motor home. He had a ford cube van for his carpenter business so he took the box off the back and built the rv portion. He had experience way back with mahogany boats and used a lot of those principles. He skinned it with plywood and coated it with fibergel like a boat. He was 20 years ahead of the "smooth" sided rv industry! It was beautiful and looked everybit manufactured. He then set about making one using a front drive Olds Tornado. I never got to see that one and am not sure he finished.
