Hey everyone,

I'll admit to being real late on unpacking from the winter, however today I did so and my 2007 Roo 23SS was serving as a home to 2 mice. The mice loved the canvas ends and both tent ends have screen and canvas holes now.

So the big question (didn't find another post but there has to be), can this be patched or are new tent ends my only option. Any idea on this model Roo what the cost for each end would be around?

Any the real bad part of the story is we are heading out on our last trip then were going to put it up for sale!!

Thanks,

Dean

For small holes we used tire patches that we got from Walmart. They are a new fangled kind that are very thin, about the size of a quarter and clear, they are self adhesive, so no glue is needed (They worked very well for us). For larger holes, Cabela's, Bass Pro shops and a few others have patches for larger holes and rips.

If I'm buying it I'd want new tents,if I'm keeping it I'd patch it.

You'll have to call Forrest river to get a quote.

In all the years of P'ups and hybrids I've yet to experience mice inside but spent hours prepping the underside in each unit.
I once witnessed a mouse climbing my power cord in an attempt to get inside,i got to it before he made it and now wrap a sock around the cord and close the flap.

Yes I'm working to get a local place to replace one end with the canvas holes. The other turned out just to have a hole in the screen so I don't know if they can replace just that.

I'll probably end up replacing both so they are new and consistent in look.

Thanks,

Dean

Cajuns - the bigger issue is finding where they came in and get them stopped. Once in, they will be back.

I literally cried when I saw a 2nd round of holes after the 1st winter, in a PU years ago. That damage was minimal, so I patched, used it that summer and put it away again. The next spring was significantly worse with holes in sides, screens and the roof.

Find'em, stop'em, kill'em, if possible. "I hate meeces to peeces"

Sprinkle moth balls around your camper after you button it up for the off-season. Its suppossed to keep mice away.

Thanks all, I'll look for "get in spots" and fill them with great stuff this weekend.

Does anyone have the number for Forest River?

Thanks,

Dean
