Not sure of the Southern Hemisphere attraction. Kiwis (I always thought that was a "fruit") and Roos. Probably better than cartoon characters, though.

I think it's a fruit too....but here's why Jayco named their new line of trailers Kiwi (from the 2000 brochure) Kiwi Bird
it has thick hairy feathers, a beak one third the length of it's body and no tail. Looks like something between an anteater and a hedgehog, has wings and cannot fly...found only on one island in the world - New Zealand.
In spite of it's unusual appearance and behaviour, the Kiwi has survived for around 8 million years without an evolutionary update. We think it's rugged, dependable and obviously at home in the outdoors.....which is why we named our newest product after such an odd bird. The similarities are striking
