Thanks,

Auto parts store for convertible top cleaner unless your trailer actually has canvas (most do not). Good luck / Skip

Go with what your owner's manual recommends first. If you don't have a manual check the Rockwood website to see if they any information or if you can download a manual.

Thanks for the replies.

I guess I didn't mean to use the word 'canvas' as I did in the title. It's whatever fabric tent trailers use nowadays.

Anyway, a bit of investigating on the internet, 'Simple Green' available at Wal-Mart is recommended. Just want to try and remove all the black marks, tree sap etc.

Might give it a try. My owner's manual is not very specific about cleaners.

Dave.

Fleetwood, I believe reccomends Woolite.....I've been using it for years.

I like using Simple Green. I don't worry as much about it making its way to the storm runoffs in the street. Plus, it smells really fresh and clean and does a pretty good job of cleaning. Doesn't get too sudsy.

If you don't have a specific product recommended by the manufacturer then test any thing you try somewhere where it won't show. We had cleaners that bleached out fabric and lost the water proofing. And water proofing that left the material a sticky mess that would not dry.
A tip is when you do clean the fabric let it dry and then hose it down. That will show up any spots where you and the cleaner have removed the waterproofing. Better to find it out in your drive way than at 2 am in a driving rain storm.

Our Fleetwood with sunbrella recommends Woolite or Dreft and then re- waterproofing it.
