Some of the responses crack me up. Some of you say that you can relate to not wanting old RV's in your storage area. And you feel its OK for the owner to discriminate against older RV's. I can understand checking for good credit/payment history, but the age of the RV---give me a break. You say, "if you don't like their rules, go elsewhere". Not meaning to hijack the thread...just a rhetorical question....How would you respond to a restaurant owner who said, he didn't wany you "old people" setting in his restaurant, cuz it would make the place look less desireable...Many of you would be lined up at the lawyer's door suing for discrimination.
And furthermore, what happens when your RV passes tha age limit? Will you be so willing to go out and find a new storage lot? I know, "their lot, their rules". But it doesn't mean we have to like it.

Your response cracks me up! The guy that owns the storage lot is free to choose who he rents to for whatever reason he wants to, as long as its not against the law. The last I knew, it wasn't illegal to discriminate agains old RV's, new RV's, middle age RV's, big RV's, small RV's or any other type of RV. You don't have to like it. Accept what you can not change, Change the things that you can, or go elsewhere. It's really up to you, like it or lump it.
These days there are a lot more Rules and regulations pertaining to just about everything we do. RV Storage is just another area that is being regulated by Our Governments.
Liability Issues-Health and Safety Issues. The List goes on and on.
Imagine if You will all the things that could go wrong, leaking Fuel and Lubricants, Food left to Rot inside a refrigerator or Cupboards. Water Tanks left Full. Non Payment of Rent, Taxes that Must be paid by the Owner based upon occupancy.
It is mind boggling to say the least!
I applaud anyone who wants to go into the "Storage" business! A Lot of investment for very little return and a whole lot of hoops to jump through!

Dito:
A local storage lot owner said that he has over twenty some abandoned cars, trucks, boats or campers on his lot and has stiffened the rules to prevent this. Now he has to go through the legal process to dispose of the vehicles left behind.
