I do .. but there are many MANY diff books and ways of advertising these days. The days that the YP's had a lock on that way of advertising are long-gone.

Always do for the local companies as not all of them have websites or they get eliminated in the 'preferred' searches.

we get about 4 "yellow" books at our house. There is one in particular that I like to use, the rest get tossed in the recycle bin.

Mine go from the driveway to my recycle bin. We don't even bother to look at them. What a waste!!!!

Yes, and I pick one up for any area I'm in more than a week or so. They are the easiest source for information.

I still buy newspapers too.

One company sends out mini ones and I always put that one in the truck.

Occasionally will bring one inside if it has some local menus in it (most places around here don't have websites). I will often keep one in the car with me for the yellow pages portion.

I still use the one from the phone company. All the others use a lot of second hand info. Some of the worst listings are the internet listings. My business gets calls from people everyday from internet listings that are incorrect. There is absolutley no way a business can afford to pay for a correct listing in every internet or published directory. Those you don't pay for either omit you completely or "borrow" the info from another source that may have "borrowed" it from another source and so on and so on.... I frequently get calls who think we are a dentist office, an attorney(most frequent error), a bank, a food bank, and a dental lab, Bank of America and Legal Zoom.com. These are all frequent errors and when we have tried to find the source of the bad listing, it is always an off name phone book or the internet.
