I have an 1988 Minni Winnie 26 footer. It is in excellent condition but there is water under the mats on both the driver's and passenger's sides. The RV is currently at a Camping World where they are attempting to find the leak. They have performed the usual whatever that they do and have been unable to find any leaks. Obviously there is one due to the water under the mats. I am going to attempt to sell it. It has only 32,000 miles on it and we have done considerable maintenance on it as well as added levelers, automatic antenna, gas/electric water heater; exhaust fan in bedroom. It is really important that I locate this leak in order to sell it. Any suggestions?

A/C drain blocked or heater core cracked.
Loose or cracked ventilation ducts.
Any of the grommets that come through the firewall.
This is something a Ford dealer might know more about than a RV repair shop.

If it isn't overheating and calling for the radiator to be refilled, it ain't the engine. I would have to know if you drove it in a recent rainstorm. Maybe the doghouse is not sealed properly. Marvh

Our '83 E350 had rust holes in the bottom of the firewall at the passenger's left toes, and through the upper corner of the firewall where the inside of the fenderwell met the firewall, up beyond the passenger's right toes. There was rust damage under the battery and in the fenderwell behind the battery. I think a previous owner had a battery that gassed all the time. I found our leaks by pulling the carpet back. Repaired them with expired license tag material, body sealer and pop rivets.

you may also want to check out and post this on the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/index.php in the appropriate topic area - lots of very knowledgeable folks over there, as well.
Something in the back of my brain is niggling me with "hood cowl vent" but that might just be the nagging reminder that I have yet to fix the leak in my Jeep ...

Could it be related to a leak from the chasis air conditioner? We had that problem with a W-22 chassis but it only occurred soon after starting the A/C with high humidity in the cabin.

This happens in my ford card. There are drain holes near the windshield wipers to drain the water off the windshield and sometimes they get clogged with leaves and stuff. If they are blocked, water will run into my car behind the gas pedal and onto the floor. Don't know why the water goes inside the car, but I know to keep those drains clear.

Check the door gaskets... We had a leak on a new Crown Vic and Ford found out that it was the door gaskets. Ford replaced them, and no more leak.

Water getting into a car...
We had one where debris in the cowling vent area diverted water to run into the cabin instead of down the overboard drain. Had to remove wiper arms and vent cover to access it.
