I'm looking to gather some ideas for a modern looking battery voltage monitor. One that provides digital numbers with more detail than the stock monitor that is tied in with tanks level indicators. I have a perfect spot to install this inside my trailer next to my converter. I'm assuming I can connect it direct to the battery cables going into the converter, so I can read what my battery voltage is while dry camping. Is this correct?

Listed below are some links I found with pictures. If anybody has any better options, please let me know.

Thanks for the help.

I see the voltminder has a mode button...does it monitor dc and ac or just dc?

I use a Xantrex Link 10, which is similar to the Xantrex that you have in your list. Those are much more useful (and more expensive) than a simple voltage monitor because they provide an integrated summary of all current pulled from your batteries by the loads an replaced by charging. At any time you can see what percent of full charge your battery holds or, depending on how you set it up, how many hours of use remain in them.

I like the Vena panel in Learjet's post because it can monitor both AC and DC but I believe those have been discontinued.

Voltminder is just DC. It does have an adjustable low voltage alarm.

I use http://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems_hw30c.htm to monitor 120v power.

What do you guys think about this link...

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-12v-Digital-Blue-LED-0-20V-DC-Volt-Panel-Meter_W0QQitemZ360201378485QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53ddacdab5

It can be installed flush in my cabinet just to the right of my converter/electrical box below the refrigerator. Also if I get 2 of these the PDF on bottom of link says it can be used to monitor DC and AC voltages.

Think this will work?

I like the voltminder you guys have listed but not too excited about the big buttons sticking out and not being able to mount it flush. I have 2 toddlers and they like to push buttons.

The VENA is awesome, but I can't find it anywhere for sale.
