DC Panel Meter I have used similar ones. They are ok but are made in China, are of dubious quality, and have no technical support.
They are made for electronics manufacturers and hobby geeks and are difficult for non-geeks to install. They are designed to snap-fit into a thin metal or plastic panel. The cutout has to be very accurate for it to fit securely and your wall is probably too thick. You would have to make a bezel for it. They are also hard to make electrical connections to. They require a miniature circuit-board-type slip-on connector. and there s nothing to hold the connector to the meter other than friction. Unless you could figure a way to secure it the connector will slip off as you drive down the road. As to measuring AC - it will not do it directly. You would need to convert the AC to DC and provide a scaling circuit.

I use one similar to the Ebay one you posted, this one.
I use the red LED for 12V, and the blue LED for AC monitoring. The LED's are much easier to read than the LCD IMO, especially at night. Both are easy to wire. The 12V has just 2 wires + and -, and the AC has 4 wires, 12V + and - and the 110 legs. You do have to be careful when installing as they have about a 1/8th inch border but work fine and have been working for 4 years now.

have you contacted Vena link ... it is a very high quality unit, take a look at the manual on the link. Very happy with it for almost 4 years.

I sure did. Actiually called them late last night and left a message on voice mail to the sales option. Trying to see where you can buy it at and what is the price. It's exactly what I was looking for, but it can't be found for sale. We all want what we can't have. The blue sea is a nice unit also but expensive and doesn't have both AC and DC.Hope to hear back from Vena.
Thanks for everybodys help and ideas.

That's good to hear. I work for Cessna Citation here in California. Been here for 14 years.
P.S. you know you miss the visibility provided by the Citation line as compared to the Learjet. LOL!

The Blue Sea AC is really nice---can't combine it with DC...AC not only measures/displays quality (Hz,W,A) but alarms for Hi-Lo, and will not power up with Rev-polarity---and shuts down when exceeds Hi-Lo preferences.....DC also cycles through V & A, and alarms for your V settings....more bucks, but a lot more bang, too!

I called Vena and they are no longer making rv meters due to the slow down. You can have this meter direct from them, discontinued for $180 w/o any support.
