I am looking at putting a power jack on my Spree 318BHS. I would like to get some reviews of the different brands (Barker, Atwood, and UltraFab seem to be the leaders). I also would like to know what rating I need. My TT is 7000 GVWR with a tongue weight around 900 lbs. My TT dealer will sell/install an UltraFab for $225.

All three are fine. I have a Barker 3500. Installation is very easy. Can you say "3 bolts & a hot wire"? What is the price sans installation?

I did not get a quote minus installation as that seemed like a good deal looking at various sites.

For $225, I'd ask for a Barker 3500 installed, with cover

225 is not a bad price provided it is not a rebuild which Ultrafab sells A lot of. This subject came up recently and Barker got the most votes. I like my made in USA Barker VIP3000. I`m sure they all work fine. You may prefer a 3500, just a little more power.

I just researched on this website and also ordered the Barker 3000 VIP. Paid $169 to my door and will be installing it this week. I just got it in the mail last night and I was all excited to see it. In regards to what model, it really boils down to what diameter jack shaft you have. Measure yours (outside diameter)and see if you have a 2 inch diameter or the 2 1/4 inch diameter. If you have the 2 inch diameter then order the Barker VIP 3000, if you have the 2 1/4 inch diameter order the Barker VIP 3500. The Atwood got really good reviews also, but most of the thumbs up went to the Barker.

Have fun!

Right here:

ebay doesn't always have the best price, but this time they did by a big margin. Showed up 5 days later in a brand new unopened box and everything inside was sealed. It's laying here right next to me. Go get it man!
