I am looking at putting a power jack on my Spree 318BHS. I would like to get some reviews of the different brands (Barker, Atwood, and UltraFab seem to be the leaders). I also would like to know what rating I need. My TT is 7000 GVWR with a tongue weight around 900 lbs. My TT dealer will sell/install an UltraFab for $225.

You can get an UltrFab on Ebay for about $100 less. Bought mine 3years ago and still works great. It was a rebuilt unit.

I bought my Barker VIP 3000 off of ebay and installed in myself in 15 minutes. I would buy whatever brand you want and find the best price and install it yourself. Its very simple.

CH47 did you get one? What's the deal man?

I just installed it today and I have about a 3 inch gap between back of the Barker jack and forward side of propane bottle cover. I connected 10 gauge power wire to the downstream side of battery disconnect switch, so if the light gets turned on while I'm away, it won't drain my battery. The jack moves slower than I expected, but it sure is powerfull, quiet and smooth.
