I just herd on the local ABC news that NASA said the world will not end on December 12 2012. The movie that comes out tomorrow Friday the 13th has caused NASA to say that there are no comets or planets that will collide with earth and we are safe.
Are any of you going to see this movie? It has some very good special affects.

And you are going to take the word of NASA over the research of a movie producer??????
That just isn't american.
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Thats right gasbag. NASA has all the BIG TOYS that the movie producer's wish they had. You know tho, that some people still believe that NASA pulled off the hoax about the moon landing. These people say it was done on a sound stage. OH and the world is flat too.

Don't beleive NASA. They faked the moon landing and use the space shuttles to transport cocaine from Florida to California.

During my internship waaaaaaaayyy back when, I used to take care of some of these people. They were all living on the 7th floor of one of the local hospitals, also known as the psych ward...............

This whole thing is so misunderstood.
First off, the Mayan calendar doesn't "end" in 2012, it is a circle with no ends at all.
Second, they got the date wrong. The cycle begins again in 2021, not 2012.
Of course, the articles I've read in archeology magazine may be wrong, too and I should accelerate my retirement plan... now where did I leave that lottery ticket?

I cringe when I read posts on a topic like this beause eventually someone pipes up saying that it's all true. I worked with a girl whose parents really thought Y2K was going to be the end of civilization.
