In a few weeks, coach and car will be reunited and we'll be sweeping up some mountainous Spanish roads!

Car Credentials (using road gear):
The Ultima GTR720 recorded a blistering 1min 9.9secs lap time, which demolishes the previous record of 1min10.7secs set by seven-time world Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari FXX track car. To put things into perspective the Ultima is almost 10 seconds per lap faster than the fastest road car that Ferrari produces which is the renowned £450,000 Enzo.

0-60mph 2.7secs
0-100mph 5.5secs
0-150mph 11.8secs
30-70mph 2.0secs
0-100mph-0 10.3secs

'72 AMC Gremlin. AMC 401 bored and stroked to 420. 495HP on the dyno.

I have one of those...well, except mine is a 1974...and has a 401 from a Matador topped with a 6-71 blower, feeding 3" sidepipes. Loud, crude...and lots of fun.

Can't seem to find a tow bar for it.
It has enough chips in the paint on the front end as it is, can't imagine what it would look like after towing it behind the MH.
Am running a 302 in it but am working on getting more HP. Just doesn't seem as fast now as when I first got it.

That was one of my choices along with a GT40 till I found out how much they would cost to build.
Ours cost about 1/3 or 1/4 of those. Very nice car tho. Maybe someday.

Seems to me a 351W stroked to 408ci would bolt right in place of that 302...

I have a favourite Cobra story, I wonder if you've heard it.
It was around the time when you could buy the original HP 289 or the 427. A guy went to a dealer & said he wanted the 427. The dealer questioned this as he said that you normally need to graduate up to the 427, as it was so wild to drive. The buyer was insistent that he could easily handle the 427 & he could well afford it.
The salesman insisted though that he give the 427 a good long test drive. So off they went. Within a few blocks though, the customer was having second thoughts as he was scaring himself to death with the savage acceleration and great braking & roadholding. They got back to the dealership & the customer agreed that maybe he should start off with the milder 289 as he would clearly kill himself in the 427.
"I'm sorry" said the salesman, "That WAS the 289 you tried!"

Never miss an opportunity to walk on the grass.

Saw one on the Power Tour: powered by a 489ci stroker FE with about 600HP. Yikes.

Actually, YIKES!

Quite a few "pistonheads" on here. I love the cars, bikes and that cool P-51 Mustang. Who has the baja boat?
