I considered the Keystone, but in terms of warranty they are really at a disadvantage. You can at least get a 2 year warranty from Forest River for about $100 more (at least you could at the time). Keystone is one year, and I have seen some less-than-stellar reports of Keystone customer service on here. Laredos do seem like a pretty solid line by them though.

If my truck could have handled it, I would have bought the Laredo instead of the Passport. It all depends on your servicing dealer.
I liked the quality of the Laredo for a lightweight and the DW LOVED the interior design. LOVE is more important than a two year warranty in my household. If the DW LOVES the travel trailer I can get her to go camping a couple more times per season.
I think they dropped the 31BHS in 2010 though, going to be harder to find now. Passport make a similar floorplan to the 31BHS is you really want the floorplan.

I would never base my decision on that.

I have used my Keystone Hornet for fulltime living for almost 6 years now… it has been excellent in quality and Keystone has been excellent with their customer service although my problems have been few…
This is really one of those things that only you can decide because any of our opinions will be bias and based on experiences that you may never experience…
My experience took me out of a Sunnybrook and into my Keystone, but I would never recommend anyone else not buy a Sunnybrook based on my experience with them, but I have been quite happy since the exchange…
Love my mass produced, entry level, built by Lazy American Workers, Hornet

We have a Forest River product and have had all service and warrenty issues taken care of without issues (no cost to us). It is the dealer you purchase from as your representative that makes for customer satisfaction.

I have a relative that has had some issues with Keystone as well so my reservations are not based solely on posts here. THat being said, I do think some of the Keystone lines, including Laredo are nice. It is a decision with many variables...for me customer service was a heavily weighted one.

With our Wildcat we had purchased an extended coverage called Travel Trailer Plus Platinum Guard in Apr 04 and kicked in after the Forest River warrante. We just had our refrigerator replaced in Rockport, Tx when it failed on a trip to the Gulf. It covered all but $211 to put in a new frig. Thanks to all who helped at Camper Clinic. I looked back at the cost of the policy which was about half of what the new frig cost now. I don't know if it can be extended next year when it expires but in this case it was worth the original cost.

I would not be too concerned about going to a longer TT providing you have an adequate tow vehicle. We went from a 26' to a 33' without any significant problem. In some respects it is easier to tow and back and the extra space is great. We currently have a KZ Spree and are happy with it. I think all of the manufacturers you are considering make a good product most of the time but can also maker a lemon from time to time. Make sure you get a good dealer that will be responsive to any future problems should they occur.
