I have it from a reliable source that Santa is bringing our Outback a porcelain toilet for Christmas! My DW hates the plastic toilet. Does anyone have any advice for Santa as to which toilet to buy? I’m thinking that Santa can’t go wrong with a Thetford, but which model? I’ve done some searching, but haven’t been able to find instructions for toilet replacement in a TT. Does anyone have experience that they can share? Santa will be at CW this weekend to pick one up!

I wanted to change ours out but the ceramic would not fit. The hole in the floor is too close to the wall. Was glad to find that out before I bought the new one.

Best thing to do is go to CW and look at them and read all the info on each one. The larger CW's carry a pretty big selection of all the different models available.
IMHO pay attention to the 'heighth' of the model you choose. AND if the base will fit your RV. Many are not interchangeable. First thing I did was take out the stock one and replaced it with one that was as high as the standard size ones in your home.....nothing worse than falling down to sit on those low ones they put in MH's.
You might find that by just replacing it with a 'normal' size tiolet your DW may not have to have the more expensive porcelain type.

One other thing to consider is the extra weight of the porcelain toilet...can the floor around the toilet support the extra weight?

I would hope so otherwise an over weight person might find themselves on the ground below if it isn't.

Look at the Theford Chart HERE as it show which toilets are direct replacements.
I would say get the sprayer. We use ours often.

Wow! Great information and...fast! Thanks y'all! I'm the heaviest in my family at 185 pounds. If the floor can't handle another 50 to 100 pounds bigger folks would be having troubles. Does anyone have the sprayer accessory? Is it worth the extra money?
