I notice on television last night a commercial for a product for sealing the seams on RV roofs called Flex Seal. I was wondering if anybody has used this spray on sealant and if it is any good. like once you spray this stuff you don't have to worry about caulking anymore.

We have a "Try it before you buy it" on TV13 here and they tried it. It made a mess of the plumbing repair and didn't fix the leak, did OK on the gutter leak even when wet and when they tried it on a screen to make it waterproof it took many cans to do a small patch. Apparently they forgot to say how many cans it took to make the screen on the bottom of the boat. It was also very messy to work with. Eternabond is a product already there that will do the seams on the roof permanently. That is one of my favorite products.

Personally, I'll stick with Eternabond and Dicor caulking. They're both proven products.

$19.95 plus shipping for rubberized undercoating. But wait we will give you an extra can just pay S&H. You can buy the same stuff with a different label for just over $10.00 at your local autoparts store.

Ive got some. It works as they show and describe it...but I sure wouldnt use it on my motorhome....

Ray, I posted on this subject earlier in the month and a RV.Net poster recommended Plastic Dip, which is a Synthetic Rubber Coating that comes in cans and a spray and it sells for less and works better. The website is Plastic Dip dot com if you want to take a look at this product.

Thanks for the responses. I was also against ordering it because of the black color. I figured it would stick out like a sore thumb.
I was just looking for something so that I would not have to climb the coach every six months to check the caulking. I have considered eternabond, but it seems like it might be hard to apply. I will check into it again.
