Hi all,
We are new to Rv'ing and need some help. We are leaving for a trip up north tomorrow and as I was loading things up I noticed this morning that the refrigerator is not cooling at all. We have had it plugged in for the last 4 or 5 days to electric and seemed to be working ok, but now this morning it's not, my husband even tried switching to just propane but that didn't work either. Was wondering, (husband can't find the fuses to check) if someone out there knows where they would be located. We have a 08 HR Neptune with a side by side ref model num 1210 IMSS. Thanks for any help that we can receive.

It MAY have lost its charge of ammonia which
provides the cooling. To check for this, open
the outside door behind the refrigerator and
look for a SLIGHT coloring of yellow dust.
IF this is the cause, you need a service call
to repair the leak, replace the cooling unit
or replace the refrigerator
(been there, done that)

Yep. Replaced mine with a residential fridge - Norcold was an inconsistent PITA. Good Luck. Hope your fix is a simple one.

The MH has been level during refigerator operation, correct?
You do know there is a recall on that refer model?

It seems there is a fuse and a reset button as well behind the access door on the outside of the unit.
Check fuses inside near the converter.

Hope you have a volt meter. I would start by checking that you have 11.5+ V DC on the yellow wire going to the latest recall box (may be a yellow wire). Next check that the blue wire from the recall box going to the control board of the 1200 has the same voltage. These recall boxs are known to go bad shutting down the refer If no voltage to the control board, you can bypass it by moving the yellow wire back to the control board. I would keep an sharp eye on it as there is a slight chance the recall box actually did what it's supposed to do, shut it down because of a over temp in the flue.
If it had a leak you would smell the ammonia without smelling for it outside.

Keeping fingers crossed, the lp started working, hope it cools now. Will keep a close eye on it and pray that we don't have to replace the whole unit. THANKS for the replys, you guys are great! I love these forums

Its a fairly new unit, not impossible but I doubt it has leaked its coolant.
Let's start with some basics. You say you are new to RV'ing. The fridges in RVs do not have compressors like your house fridge and takes a LOT longer to cool down. If you loaded it up with warm sodas and beer, it could take 2-3 DAYS to cool down. Also important is if the fridge is level. Is the RV sitting on a slope or off level?
Are the fins cool to the touch? What brand is the fridge and does it have a display? If so, what is the display telling you?
When we know we are going in the RV, we turn it on at least a day ahead, usually two days and then are careful not to put warm stuff into it. If we must, then I put some blue ice packs in to compensate. We usually make a frozen casserole ahead of time and put it into the fridge part ot help cool it down.
Let us know what you find, please.

When you run the fridge it will need 12 volts for the brain.
120ac or propane it still needs 12 volts.
