Its a fairly new unit, not impossible but I doubt it has leaked its coolant.

Let's start with some basics. You say you are new to RV'ing. The fridges in RVs do not have compressors like your house fridge and takes a LOT longer to cool down. If you loaded it up with warm sodas and beer, it could take 2-3 DAYS to cool down. Also important is if the fridge is level. Is the RV sitting on a slope or off level?

Are the fins cool to the touch? What brand is the fridge and does it have a display? If so, what is the display telling you?

When we know we are going in the RV, we turn it on at least a day ahead, usually two days and then are careful not to put warm stuff into it. If we must, then I put some blue ice packs in to compensate. We usually make a frozen casserole ahead of time and put it into the fridge part ot help cool it down.

Let us know what you find, please.

The OP states that the unit has been plugged in for 4-5 days.
They also list the model # of the fridge.

Thanks for the informative post. They said it was plugged in but didn't say the fridge was on. Listed the model # but not the make. They also said they were new to RV'ing.

The OP said that the refrigerator was plugged in for 4 or 5 days and working fine on electric. The model # is a Norcold brand model #. I'm old to RVing and still have questions yet unanswered. Could be the questions were answered but I just forgot the answers.

Usually a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'm posting my Norcold 1200 to Amish Conversion video to give tahlmeyer55 an idea what the backside of his or her refer looks like and where the control board with fuses is located just in case they have any more trouble.

A fridge, RV or residential, can be plugged and cold for a week. If its empty and you stock it with a warm 12 pack of beer and a warm 12 pack of sodas and 10 bottles of warm water and some cold food, guess what? It will be warm for hours. The food will warm up to 70 degrees, the frost will melt off the fins. At your house, your fridge is full of cold stuff and you have thermal mass. When you put in a leftover dish of chili or whatever, you suck cold from the mass to chill the warm item but you don't notice it because everything is still cold.

Ok, I think the problem was that we were not level. Now that the rv is level, everything seems to be working out fine, (at least for now) the inside of the fridge is showing a temp of about 30, with all of our food in it, so I think we will be ok. Thank you so much for all of the great advise (especially the ones about the coach being level) as I said before, we are very new to this and still have a lot to learn
Thanks!
