How often do you have to change out the transmission fluid under a severe towing schedule?

The problem is when gas is $4, diesel is nearer to $5! What is really going to turn the truck world on its ear is when ford modifies the 5.0 coyote V-8 to direct injection and twin turbos and puts it in a F250! Can you imagine a 521hp/600tq/17mpg F250 gasser! DAAAYUM!

Here gas is now $4.12 and diesel is $4.29. In the last month or so gas has risen alot but diesel hasn't changed too much. Strange...diesel is now cheaper than super and 89 octane.

I noticed last week here in Phoenix that the gap was closing at SOME stations, yet at others the spread is still huge. Go figure!

If diesel ever becomes cheaper than 87 again I can justify another rattler

Great that Ford found a niche for people wanting a 8,200 GVWR pickup. I wonder if the other manufacturers will follow suit? Most of us want something more, or require something less.

RAM already has....

"Finally, Ram is catering to buyers who need to tow or haul with the new Ram 1500 Tradesman Heavy Duty -- an uprated version of the existing Ram 1500 Tradesman. It is rated for a payload of up to 3100 pounds, a tow rating of 11,500 pounds, and a gross combined weight rating of 17,500 pounds -- all figures which top other half-ton pickups.

The Tradesman comes only with rear-wheel drive and an eight-foot bed. Power comes from a Heavy Duty version of the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 with 383 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Upgrades to help the truck cope with the higher weight ratings include a strengthened frame, tougher wheel hubs, larger brakes, and a standard Class IV hitch with trailer wiring connectors. The Tradesmen HD goes on sale in spring 2012."

Isn't the Tradesman just a reg cab work truck?, unlike the F150 where you can get it in the XL, XLT and Lariat.

Yes, so far it's just a "work truck" mainly marketed to trades people.
