I currently am towing a 2006 Cherokee 32B with a Reese Weight Distribution with the add on friction sway control. Thinking about getting the Reese Dual Cam sway control. Once I install the Dual Cam can I still use the add on friction sway for added safety or just use the Dual Cam alone?

For what its worth towing with a 2002 E350 van w/ V10.

You won't need the friction control with dual cam. Not a good idea!

Ditto on not needing the friction control.

My Son Kris pulls the exact same trailer as you with a 2004 Ford Excursion without any sway problems.

Part of the idea of the dual cam system is that you can back up without having to do anything to it where the friction type always say to remove them before backing up from what I recall from our TT days .only use one or the other the dual cam worked well for us for years on a 31 foot TT with a short bed TV.

You will not need anything other than the Reese Dual Cam. I have had one for 4 years without a "hitch".

No! the friction sway bar will interfere with how the Dual Cam sway control operates. The dual cam sway controls are designed to work in tandem. i.e. depending on which direction the trailer is swaying, one DC sway bar will work against the other sway bar resulting in stabilizing the trailer in a straight line. This stabilization action is critical when you swerve in the event of a pending accident.

That is not correct.

The DC bars do not "work against" each other.

I think he may have his explanation a bit wrong. I think he meant that while one bar is on one side of the cam the other bar is doing the same thing but in the opposite direction.
