I am hoping that someone has used this item and can share their input on this 11 ft. 4" x 18 ft. 6" Reflective Heavy Duty Silver Tarp from Harbor Freight. Looking to shade the RV from the sun when parked outdoors and also consider using it as an awning when camping.

Not that particular size, but I have other sizes from them.
I used it on the sides of my patio last winter to block the wind, and to cover up a 4-wheeler.
Held up very well.
Can't comment about the 'reflective' part since we used it in winter.

Last winter we had a leaking roof. I bought two of the HF silver tarps and put them on the roof for temporary protection. One was in shreds within two months and a month later the other one was in shreds. They are not very good quality, we had at least ten tie downs on each tarp and the tie downs held but the material fell apart. It was a total waste of money (about $40) for us.

They are okay tarps for protection, but don't reflect a lot of heat/solar energy.

Tarp covered boat

We used them to cover a 26' boat every winter. It looked like a wrapped baked potato. I got 1-2 years before they shredded.

I use 9X12 silver tarps over the bed ends of my OFF-ROAD POPUP.

They do pretty good inside for keeping the heat down inside the tent ends. Also helps out big time with the condensation.

I get maybe three years use out of the tarps as they start shredding due to the sun UV I guess...

I tie them into the rain gutter on both ends before I raise the roof of the popup then tie down the sides with stretch ropes...

Doesn't look all that bad to me haha...

I'll give you my experience with the silver tarps from Harbor Freight--after going thru at least three covers for my patio grill all of which disintegrated in a couple of years, I bought one of these tarps to cover the grill and a few bungy cords. I has held up for three years now thru wind, rain, snow, and hail and still looks as good as the day I bought it. I am a satisfied customer--seven dollar tarp that works better than a forty dollar grill cover.

Thanks everyone for your input, If I get 2 to 3 years out of it it's worth the cost. I think I will pick one up the next time I am there.
